It's a pleasure to live in Louisa County and to teach at LCHS. I've lived here since 1973. After 11 full years of teaching, I retired from full-time at the end of the 2007-08 school year, but returned to teach one course per semester (PVCC Astronomy in the Fall, and PVCC Physics in the Spring). But, sorry to say, because of a few health issues, I will not be teaching in the 2016-17 school year. You might still see me now and then doing a few small services, and I may be back in 2017 if the health gets resolved. (I'll miss the teaching, and good luck to all.) Prior to coming to LCHS, I worked at NASA Headquarters for several years, taught astronomy at the University of Virginia, owned and operated a cattle farm, developed the Louisa Country Club (now the Greens at Tanyard), and developed the Panamint Woods and Tanyard subdivisions in Louisa. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. in Space Physics and Astronomy from Rice University. Also, during the last few years I've taken quite a few additional graduate courses in Education, Mathematics, and Technology, mostly at the University of Virginia and at James Madison University.
